ACTION

Anthocyaninsare flavonoids that exert protection against oxidative damage; they have several beneficial properties as they confer cardioprotection, neuroprotectionand anti-inflammatory action.
Baicalinis a phenolic compound that exhibits anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, immunostimulantand anti-oxygen free radical activities along with the ability to act as an antibiotic, antifungal and antiviral.
Resveratrolis a polyphenolic compound with potent biological activity, widely used for its antioxidant, regenerative, anti-inflammatoryand lipid-regulating properties.
Gipenosidesare glycosylated saponins of the dammaran type, whose structure is closely related to that of the ginsenosides of Panax ginseng; they inhibit NO synthesis, a compound involved in inflammatory processes.

Chemical characterisation is based on high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry and UV-visible spectrophotometry.
OxiP® is standardised and titrated at 1% w/w anthocyanins, 1% w/w baicalin, 0.7% w/w resveratrol, 1% w/w gypenosides; this allows accurate dosing in various galenic forms.
